Rug Sami

SKU: 264

The Sami are indigenous peoples who inhabited the Arctic region of Sápmi. The traditional livelihoods of the Sami included coastal fishing, fur catching, herding and what they knew best, semi-nomadic reindeer herding. This is the basis for the creation of the rectangular SAMI carpet: the unique lifestyle of strength and resilience in the cold snow, brought by the clear mottled and textured patterns in hand-knotted thin wool.
