Rug Yupik II
SKU: 323
The Yupik are a group of Native Americans in Alaska. Traditionally, the families spent the spring and summer in fishing camps, then reunite with others in the villages for the winter. Their food-hunting journeys and their resistance to the cold weather are depicted on the YUPIK round hand-tufted botanical silk rug, as are the routes they have traveled over the years.
